Environmental Behaviours and Incentives

The Green Line is Crossrail’s environmental award scheme. It rewards individuals and teams on Crossrail’s construction sites who go above and beyond their day-to-day jobs in tackling environmental issues and encourages good environmental communication to promote better environmental behaviours and support environmental best practice.

A Green Line Learning Legacy Paper will set out the approach taken to implementing the scheme and lessons learned for use by future projects implementing a similar scheme.  This will be accompanied by a library of best practice and innovative approaches taken by contractors to improve environmental behaviour on their sites.
